Checking in

It's been over a year since I posted! Im sitting here on my front porch relaxing a bit. It has been an interesting summer, a little bit of travel and lots of family stuff. I am happy to say I have been doing a bit of sewing over the summer, just enough to keep my hands busy. Today I just cut out a dress pattern, it's sitting on the cutting table in the sewing room. I also just received my Periwinkle Blue silk for my stays from Renaissance Fabrics. The fabric is so beautiful, I wouldn't mind making a dress out of it.

In other news, Im working part time teaching, taking exams for certifications, and practicing mindfulness. I start looking for full time teaching as soon as I pass one PRAXIS exam in particular.

Life was hectic over the summer, but Im all the better for it. Looking forward to the cool weather that Autumn will bring, pumpkins, sunflowers, and hopefully lovely Indian Summer weather.
